September Newsletter
Recap of August

August has come to an end and September is here! Where has the time gone? Here at Gaowa Montessori, we finished up our workshops, had fun water days and lastly we ended the summer with a grand Gaowa Festival.
For the workshops, the kiddos were able to create different arts and crafts, cooking/science experiments, yoga/baseball, creating paper airplanes and insect imprints, and move to music.
Our water days were very successful and full of fun with all of the water toys we had.
The Gaowa Festival was such a hit. We are grateful to have been able to host such a fun event for all of the Gaowa families.
This Month
For this month, we will be welcoming a few more students to the Gaowa family. We are so excited to observe their growth and and be part of their academic journey.
We will be implementing the Artist of the Month again and thus will be traveling to Japan to explore the work of Takashi Murakami.
Reminders
With the new academic year upon us, there have been a few changes with the school. These changes include facility hours, payment methods and the tuition increase. In addition, we wanted to reiterate our uniform policy.
New Facility Hours:
7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
We would greatly appreciate it if your child is picked up by 5:20 p.m. to give staff ample time to clean and lock up the school. Please note that the school closes at 5:30 p.m. so please make sure you have enough time to collect their belongings and to sign out.
Payment Methods and Tuition Increase:
All payments must be paid either as cash, check, or as an ACH bank payment. You may be able to sign up for the ACH bank payments through ProCare.
If you choose to pay with a credit card, a 3% transaction fee will be applied to the account.
In addition, the new tuition rates will be going into effect September 1st.
The change in tuition and facility hours can be found in the re-enrollment packet under "Additional Fees and Discounts" and "Tuition and Fees Policy and Financial Obligations."
Uniform Policy
Gaowa Montessori School requires all students to wear our uniform Monday-Thursday. This uniform includes a light blue polo shirt (with the logo) or the white Gaowa top, khaki/dark bottoms, and comfortable, closed-toe shoes. Fridays are free dress-up days where children can wear self-selected comfortable clothes. However, this means no princess dresses or high heel shoes as these pose as a safety issue. Our program is active so please do not dress your child in clothing that will upset you if it should become stained or soiled. In addition, articles of clothing with printed action/cartoon figures are not acceptable.
