If a child bumps their head at school that results in a bump or bruise forming, we will send the child home. This is for your child's safety and protection. If your child lightly bumps their head, and does not show any bruising or bump, we will write an incident report, but they will not bet required to go home. We highly encourage that when they do form a bump or bruise, you take them to their physician to be checked out. Thank you for understanding!
All children who have a temperature of 99.9 or higher will be required to go home. The child must be 24 hours fever free with no medication before they may return to school. This is because the child's immune system is now lowered and we want them to have the rest their body needs to fully recover. Once we call and ask for the child to be picked up, it is required that parent or guardian picks up within 30 minutes from the phone call. If you are further than 30 minutes away for a specific day and do not have family nearby to pick up, you must let us know in advance.
During drop off, it is crucial that if this is done after 8:30AM, please have the administration office assist you and if this is done before, you may drop them off with a teacher. Whether you are dropping off to the yard or in the classroom, please acknowledge the staff and make sure they receive your child.
The same applies for pickup. When you are picking up your child, please make sure to acknowledge the staff and say goodbye so the staff member knows your child is leaving.
We also wanted to thank you parents for being so punctual picking up your children in the evening by 5:50PM! We are very appreciative!
